Great news for residents in Singapore’s Tengah neighborhood! The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has announced the opening of the brand new Tengah Bus Interchange, effective July 21st, 2024. This development promises enhanced public transport options and seamless connections to various destinations.
Enhanced Connectivity
The interchange will serve as a central hub for several bus services. A new route, service 871, will be launched, connecting residents to Bukit Batok West, Bukit Gombak, and Beauty World. This service offers convenient access to the North-South Line at Bukit Gombak MRT Station and the Downtown Line at Beauty World MRT Station. Additionally, it connects to essential amenities like neighborhood centers and the Bukit Gombak Stadium.
Existing services are also getting an upgrade. Service 992 will now extend its route to include Tengah Garden Walk, Tengah Drive, and Tengah Boulevard before terminating at the interchange. Service 870 will also be extended to serve the new interchange via Tengah Boulevard.
Along with the extension of new services and an addition, the 870A short trip service will be withdrawn on 21 July 2024. The last day of operations for 870A will be on Saturday, 20 July 2024.
