The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will conduct a trial to enhance immigration clearance at Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints for bus travellers using QR codes. This initiative aims to simplify and speed up the clearance process.
QR Code Clearance Trial Details
- Eligibility: Open to 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬, 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, and 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 who have previously visited Singapore.
- Checkpoints and Dates:
- Tuas Checkpoint: Starting 23 November 2024.
- Woodlands Checkpoint: Starting 28 November 2024.
- Locations: Selected automated and Special Assistance Lanes (SALs) in arrival and departure bus halls.
How to Participate
- Download the MyICA app and select “QR Code at Land Checkpoints.”
- Generate a QR Code: Choose an individual or group QR code (for SAL lanes, select “Bus” as vehicle type).
- Proceed to Trial Lanes: Scan the QR code at the passport scanner.
- Complete Biometrics Verification: Present facial and iris/fingerprint biometrics for final clearance.
