A massive 153,100 square meter addition to the hotel will include 587 opulent suites as part of the development. Including 12,185 square meters of brand-new retail space.
This addition is a calculated effort to meet the growing demand for upscale lodging and shopping experiences in Singapore. It is located on an empty plot next to the existing structures bounded by Sheares Avenue, Bayfront Avenue, and Sheares Link. The new land is leased through August 2066, and construction is scheduled for April 2024. The huge project will end by April 8, 2028.
Architect Moshe Safdie, the creative force behind the original design, is back to spearhead this massive undertaking. The new skyscraper will have live performance entertainment venue that will hold nearly 15,000 people. This architectural wonder’s sky roof, which will have a swimming pool and other secret tourist attractions, will be its apex.
This extension is a deliberate improvement of Marina Bay Sands’ capacity to accommodate Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), not just an impressive architectural achievement. It fills a rising demand in Singapore’s entertainment industry for a cutting-edge venue with more corporate hospitality choices, more seating, and contemporary amenities.
