About Causeway Link
Causeway Link is a Johor-based bus operator that mainly serves cross-border buses between Johor Bahru and Singapore. Established in 2003, this bus company is one of the largest in Malaysia and a popular choice for cross-border trips. The company is owned by HGC (Handal Group of Companies) under Handal Indah Sdn Bhd. They started their services with just 8 buses on the Kranji MRT in Singapore to Larkin Terminal in Johor Bahru and its return route. They later expanded their services into domestic routes to some of the main cities in Malaysia, offering services across over 50 routes and 10 major cities with a fleet size of over 550 buses.
Causeway Link bus company has included several types of buses, including the Mercedes Benz. They have single-deck as well as double-decker buses with luxurious amenities in both. They are known for their punctuality, affordability, and cleanliness. Since they travel a short distance between Johor Bahru and Singapore, the bus ticket rates are much cheaper and more affordable than the air tickets. Causeway Link was the first operator to establish a Control Centre for centralized services and monitoring of real-time commuter support.
The cross-border buses of Causeway Link Express pass through the Johor CIQ (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine Complex) or the Second Link CIQ. Their buses start from two bus terminals in Johor or TBS terminal in Kuala Lumpur and arrive at any of the four terminals in Singapore. The Second Link CIQ buses are operational only from Gelang Patah Terminal, Johor Bahru to Tuan Link MRT, Singapore.
